When Obama called the SEALS, they got Bin Laden. When the SEALS called Obama, they got nothing

Posted by on October 31, 2012

The 2012 Benghazi Cover-Up Saga is worse than the Watergate debacle. The New York Times leads the parade in its clear efforts to ignore the facts. What agendas were being protected by the Obama Administration that required the creation of a factious protests using a trivial internet film trailer, deflecting attention away from an al Qaeda attack?  Why did those in our government concoct and defend this bogus story for weeks? Why did our Secretary of State and our President tell the grieving father of one of the slain SEAL heroes that they would prosecute the filmmaker of this insignificant film nobody has even watched? Why has no one questioned the impropriety of Vice President Biden asking the father of a slain former SEAL, “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?”

There are probably a few primary reasons why the Administration made up this myth and tried to hide behind it. One reason is because they knew major press outlets would provide ample cover. Witness the sycophantic coverage on Benghazi evident in last Sunday’s weekly news programs where every host (except Chris Wallace on Fox) ignored the growing scandal. Another reason might only be surmised, but could very well contain the following key words: “Turkey”, “weapons smuggling”, “Syria”, “Iran demonstrating their complete contempt for Obama by killing one of his ambassadors”, “leading from behind”, and “Obama did not want to risk bad election pr, so let the ‘little people’ be sacrificed while he attends another fundraiser for himself.”

Many of our Washington insiders have blood on their hands too, but are able to duck and weave their way out of responsibility while looting millions of dollars from taxpayers. Who cares if some of the ‘little people’ are collateral damage as a result? Photo from AP

The fact that the CIA, senior military, and the President have all denied any involvement doesn’t surprise me. Our top military leaders have proven themselves to be grossly incompetent. They are concerned more with balancing gender quotas in the infantry and submarine service than appropriately using military power to defend America’s interests abroad. The dismal performance record of our military in both Afghanistan and Iraq is blatant proof of America’s rapid decline on the world stage. Our children are due to inherit a morally and fiscally bankrupt country with a puppet military led by politically correct sycophants. The good news is if we ever have a draft again, our daughters can be drafted and serve in the infantry.

How respected is our government in its attempts to seek justice? Ahmad Abu Khattala, Libyan ringleader of the 9/11 attacks, islamic zealot, and confirmed jihadi, taunted Obama from the coffee shop of a luxury hotel just days after Obama said the United States was hunting him down. Khattala bragged (using an Arabic rhyme) to reporters that Libya’s fledgling national army is a “national chicken”. When asked who should take responsibility for apprehending the perpetrators of the United States Consulate attack, he smirked that weak Libyan government was not in a position to do so. He further accused the leaders of the United States of “playing with the emotions of the American people,” and “using the Consulate attack to gather votes for their elections.”

The United States no longer has the ability to track and down anyone inside the islamic world. This is because the United States does not have any human intelligence capabilities. The problems inherent in this crucial weakness cannot be emphasized enough. For a few years, the United States did possess human intelligence capabilities in Afghanistan, but this network was sabotaged by an embarrassed CIA along with the cooperation of an equally embarrassed New York Times Company. The CIA was not pleased that one of its retired legends was running an operation in Afghanistan that provided more raw human intelligence in 3 months than the CIA had been able to secure in three years.  The New York Times was game to kill the program  headed by Dewey Clarridge because they created the group to gain the release of their ace reporter David Rhodes.  I have been told that group successfully organized the means for escape the Times and their “ace” reporter decided that he had escaped on his own.  I guess the Haqqani’s always leave coils of rope and have their guards sleep soundly all night when they are holding western kidnap victims.  That makes sense to you right?

This is what happens when a government’s thinking is done by cowards. Get a good look at his face; you may not be interesting in Jihad but Jihad is interested in you. What Jihad wants to see is this: dead “infidels”…preferably from a cowardly country that no longer believes in itself or stands up for anything. (Picture from You Tube)

Why did the United States Secretary of Defense claim the military didn’t have “enough information” to launch a Consulate rescue in Benghazi?  However, three former military men a mile away were able to rescue all the living and recover one of the dead on their own. What can be gleaned from this account about the one general officer involved in this Benghazi fiasco who reacted the way Americans should expect their general officers to react.

“The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.

General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.”

The story continues that now General Rodiguez would take General Ham’s place as the head of Africom. Leon Panetta, our Secretary of Defense, claimed General Ham told him it was not feasible to attempt a rescue in Benghazi. Leon Panetta believes the American public is stupid, as do the major media outlets who have been complicit in spreading these lies and mistruths.

There is ample proof our military is broken. Our top leaders are morally deficient and grossly incompetent. What we are witnessing is one of the largest cover-ups in the history of America, but because a few thousand elites are banking on getting Obama in office for another four years, this story is lost in a black hole.

Cover-up …. what cover-up? Our “newspaper of record” dictates what is news to the unenlightened masses. Look at this screen grab from the 28th of October. Hat tip to Powerline for the screen grab.

What really happened in Benghazi? Apparently, most of the general public does not care. If one contemplates the issues addressed here, it is clear that Americans live in a country with a state-run media. We are ruled by people with little incentive to represent their constituents.

Here is the only tagline America needs to remember for this election:

When Obama called the SEALS, they got Bin Laden. When the SEALS called Obama, they got nothing.

    Baba Tim,

Very easy to fall into the conspiracy theories on anything involving the Spec Ops community, Foreign Policy, and an Administration from the opposite Party. I’m noit saying “let it go” but I am saying keep an opne mind. This is election season, and there are a lot of people looking to use the Bengazi attack for political purposes. Snopes is doing a decent job of keeping up on the rumors, and has not ruled out a lot of them, but also offers some interesting counterpoints.

I don’t think any President would say “don’t go” when an Ambassador is in trouble. I think it more reasonable to assume that the attack caught the administration unaware and unprepared, and was over before they could respond. Remember, just because video is immediately available NOW does not mean that people saw it then.

Apply Occam’s razor, and try to leave your dislike for the current administration out of it.

    • Baba Tim

Hey Adam, Allow me to clarify a little. The problem is that there was a concocted story about a you tube video that we know was not true. We know that the White House knew it was not true. We have the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff saying they did not have enough information to act upon yet three former operators were able to fight their way in and rescue those who were still alive. I have seen a Delta Squadron in action (training mission mind you) and they are so good that words fail to describe their level of proficiency. There is something very wrong about this story and I think our leaders, who work for us (in theory), owe the American people an explanation. They also should recognize what the two former SEAL’s (and the third guy who also ran towards the guns) did because those men are national heroes in my book.

  2. Matt

Only a few will ever know the entire truth about what happened and if it is being covered up. I completely agree that it is possible for entire missions to be covered up or remain secret because that is what make Spec Ops missions successfull. I have a hard time making heads or tails out of incident because so many websites have published articles based on opinion caused by the lack of facts available. I don’t believe that our government would sit their and make the concious effort to let americans die. I believe they acted to slow. I believe they werent prepared for any attack and were too complacent, but I don’t agree with the notion that our government would let them die to cover something up.

Your article, similar to many others, points the finger at the administration yet lacks any insight gleemed from past military experience. Any soldier that has fought in combat knows that they are limited to what their command (leader on the ground) says. They are also limited by their capabilities. Before you make any judgements on my comments, let me give you this example:

May 12, 2007 a small group of american soldiers had their position overrun and three of the soldiers were abducted. Their position was less than a mile from their Company HQ and less than 10 minutes from two battalion sized elements. After the leadership gathered enough intel to send troops to their aid it had been almost an hour. It took almost 2 hours before a larger force was able to mobilize and start searching for them. The decision made by our leadership was not based on letting those soldiers die, but was based on preventing more soldiers from dying.

Unfortunatley, this is pretty standard for our military and unless their is a specific quick reaction force (QRF) in place, this type of attack is going to end up this way.

Matt, you need to go to Free Range International and read Tim’s posts so you can catch up to reality. Your comment, “Your article, similar to many others, points the finger at the administration yet lacks any insight gleemed (sic) from past military experience.” Tim hasn’t said it, so I will. I realize you may be new to this venue, so I’ll say it politely, Tim’s military experience goes way back to the early 80′s, and a huge chunk of that is boots on the ground combat time. His time in Afghanistan as a contractor gives him a unique perspective and depth of knowledge you cannot come close to matching. As regards your narrative on the May, 07 incident, I will counter that in July 06, in Farah, the local Talibs attempted to stage a bomb attack, presumably on the governor’s compound. I say presumably because the bomber was the victim of his own stupidity and detonated his package too early. Some of his associates got away. My team was mounted and out the gate within 5 minutes of the detonation with six ETT’s, two terps, and about 30 ANA. We located the bad guys within 30 minutes with the help of the locals, isolated them and attempted to talk them out. Did not work, and the score at the end of the day was three Taliban deceased, two civilians dead due to the bomb, no US or ANA casualties. I would say that the slow response by your command was due largely to an excess of caution, which has become a standard in today’s risk averse Army. Considering the size of the US military presence described in your story, you should have been able to respond to the point of attack with a mounted squad within five minutes, and by the end of 30 minutes your command should have been able to flood the zone. Those troops forward would have given your command detailed, real time intel. That’s what scouts are for. They did not have to wait. What you described was a leadership failure, not doctrinal warfighting.

      • Baba Tim

Hey Ron, I responded to Matt before reading this and used an example from 2/4 in Ramadi to make the same point. But boy do you make me feel good with the comments brother…I think I owe more than a few beers when we finally link up.

It is encouraging to read of a response like because I knew there were battalion (and higher) commanders in both Iraq and Afghanistan who understood the art of war and how to use different decision making strategies for different situations. I didn’t see many of them in RC East but just knew they had to be out there somewhere. Looks like one was out with you and I’m pleased to hear that.

        Tim

        • Ron Peery

I’ll take those beers, Tim, but only if it won’t cause you a problem. Otherwise, I’ll stick to coffee, my other drug of choice. The boss did not specifically order us to respond, but he did grab his gear and mount up when we went out. We thought the maggots were targeting the kandak commander, LTC Jabar. Jabar was a good guy, and we were not going to leave him out in the wind.

          • Baba Tim

You’ll never make it in American politics with that kind of thinking Ron, but you’ll always be welcomed in my home. I’ve been left out in the wind myself a time or two but have never failed to roll when somebody I knew, American and Afghan alike, needed me. It is always good to know there are more people out in the world who think like us then we probably suspect.

    • Baba Tim

I understan what you are saying Matt and agree that the timeline required to spin up a posse depends on many things, the most important of those things being the commander. I have read plenty of accounts similar to yours concerning abducted soldiers in Iraq. I know that when the same thing happened to my buddy’s battalion in Ramadi he had all his rifle companies at the abduction scene and spreading out from there in something like 20 minutes. Most commanders I have met in Afghanistan would not have reacted that way because they would have wanted to have their plans “synched” by higher headquarters. I am sure you understand what I am getting at when I say that.

There are two decision making styles a commander can use in combat. One is concurrent option analysis, the standard military model, involving three options that answer all the specified and implied tasks gleaned from the HHQ mission statement and accompanying tasking. The other is recognition primed decision making where a commander instantly recognizes what needs to be done and effectively articulates tasks to his subordinate commanders who quickly swing into action. We studied both models extensively when I was an instructor at the Marine Corps Infantry Officer School which was, at the time, headed by a (then Major) John Allen. The battalion commander mentioned above was also one of the instructors back then (there were only 8) and I know that his rapid decision making, decentralized execution, and laser like focus on killing Jihadis saved the lives of many of his men (and innocent Iraqis)

What is now standard for our military is snail like decision making, deflection of blame, complete unaccountability for tactical failure and incompetence. There is also an unseemly rush to integrate woman into branches of the service where they cannot contribute to anything except lower morale as the men, who pick up their slack, see liberal hypocrisy in action. Our military isn’t broken because we still produce fierce, savvy fighters and cohesive small units but even a casual glance at Tom Ricks new book would reveal to you the depth of the rot in our senior leadership. Fish rot from the head and guess what? Something smells over at the Pentagon these days.

That is still not the issue, to me, because we could argue about how effective/broken the military is all day. The question is why the bogus story about protests? Why was a complete lie fabricated and sold to the American public by a complicit, totally biased press? That is what I find most disturbing.

  3. Ron Peery

The problem here is that where national security is concerned the present administration appears to be in a constant state of “unaware and unprepared.” Patton once made the comment (I paraphrase) that a poor plan, violently executed now, is always better than a perfect plan that never gets executed. Mr. Obama and his cabinet have demonstrated time and time again their mouselike ferocity when it comes to dealing with America’s enemies, and their undisguised contempt for our most loyal friends. Even the mission to eliminate Osama had its undercurrent of ass-covering, as the final order was very cagily written to shift blame onto the Admiral in charge if anything went south. It is not illogical to conclude that an administration that consistantly makes the wrong call on matters of national security is either inept or malicious. Either way, it is apparant that our President, or someone he rates, made the decision to abandon our ambassador and those who were trying to defend US soil, or worse, failed to make a decision at all. The attempt to shift the blame for this event to an obscure “film maker” is equally disturbing. During the Clinton administration, our troops were required to wear a plastic card on their dog tags outlining the Army values. Perhaps its time to make the Prez and his minions to do the same.

  4. RJ

As my comments on your previous blog stated, this State Department and other primary government agencies have been operating on a “Peace Corps” mentality for decades…since post Viet Nam. Take away the draft, again post Viet Nam, and you have “decision makers” with no “skin in the game” so why should they really, really care? Add to this recipe a cic (lower case my choice) who loves muslims, hates Jews, is a neo-marxist, anti-American, metrosexual who intends to “get even with Whitey” so what do you expect when major decisions come to his attention? Recall a couple of years back when Iranian citizens were ready to march and die in the streets to overthrow their mullah leaders…where was Obama-Mao on that support?

Recall my labeling Gen. Patreaus “Princeton Patreaus” for obvious reasons. How has his CIA performed in this mess? Wonder if his wife talked into his ear about his rep with this Bengazi fiasco….”Honey, your reputation and military service will be smeared beyond your wildest dreams!”

Think Hillary will take the fall? Stains on a blue dress, lost records found, FBI files…come on…she’s an S&M bitch that Bill and B. Hussein know too well. As to Panetta…give me a break….there’s a suck up worse than Colin Powell.

What do you think Hack would say about this? That’s the real question any true warrior needs to ask…ask a true warrior…like the dead SEAL Woods…what you have are pussies in power and it doesn’t take a shrink to know what I mean.

As to my language in this comment section: What does one have after the tears have flowed when he knows lives were abandoned by those who were supposed to “have your back?”

Let’s find out what’s at the base of the cliff we’re going over…some will die, some will live.

Keep smiling, at least John Kerry is no longer in uniform!

    • Baba Tim

Brother RJ you do know how to turn a phrase. Inshallah in mere days the American people will put an end to four years of incompetence and dysfunction that characterize Obama. He was elected because of the color of his skin, and caucasian male with an identical record of zero achievements coupled to questionable conduct would not have been considered suitable senator material let alone presidential. Obama never had your back and never will because he had nothing but contempt for you and all like you. The question is how many DC Mandarins who will stay behind to worm their way into the Romney administration also hate you and all you stand for?

When we go over the cliff I plan to live; the day the banks close and the ATM’s stop spitting out 20′s is the day people like me come to the fore. I know I’ll be good, I know I’ll be able to protect the sheep around me, and I know I’ll be shooting the wolves right in the face. I also strongly suspect that day will come during my lifetime and that, my friend, is a sobering thought. It is also a good reason to get back into the habit of morning PT so I’m off.

      Tim

    Tim
Apparently Adam and Matt missed the memo about who the POTUS really is. Only in ignorance would you say “I don’t think any President would say “don’t go” when an Ambassador is in trouble”. After Benghazi, this same “President” let the bodies of our fallen heroes sit on the tarmac 45 minutes before he decided to show up. Even my 12yro get’s it. He said to me,”Mom, BHO was probably late because he had to think of the lies he was going to tell the families”. BHO has no respect for Americans or what America stands for. If the POTUS can borrow money from China, then take your tax dollars and give to known terrorist organizations, then he would most definitely say “don’t go” and “stand down” while watching the massacre of Americans.

Adam and Matt can sleep at night because of men like you. Instead of making excuses for this administrations “shortcomings” they should be kissing your ass. Hey Boys, yes, I said Boys, you better be grateful for men like Baba Tim. Someone has to put their life on the line for your sorry coward ass.

Thank you Tim, for your insight on Benghazi. I agree that it is very disturbing how the media spins stories in Barry’s favor. The Washington Post actually said “It’s a story of individual bravery, but also of a CIA misjudgment in relying on Libyan militias and a newly formed Libyan intelligence organization to keep Americans safe in Benghazi.” So it was the Libyan militia job to protect American’s? Really?
Also, were the weapons used by AQ for the attack on the Consulate ours? I bet that same Libyan militia that was supposed to be protecting us, GAVE AQ the weapons. No one is printing that.

Thank you for all you do, this sheep can sleep at night knowing you have my back.

    Godspeed

  6. matth

The point is that the President, his U.N. Ambassador, and his Secretary of State all knew the basic facts on the ground and chose to misrepresent the attack as based upon some youtube clip no one ever saw. The President went to the u.N. 2 weeks later, long after the facts had been established, and lied his nappy head off.

The blame lies squarely at the doorstep of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The president could have ordered disclosure but has chosen not to. In the meantime it has devolved into he said-she said between agencies and secret sources all of them trying to avoid blame for a world class cluster fark.

Screw the WaPo, the Times, NBC, and the rest of the media. People die regularly as the result of this administrations misguided and politically motivated decisions; 200+ mexicans from the 2,700+ firearms released to the cartels in Mexico; various and sundry ISAF personnel at the hands of completely retarded ROE’s in Afghanistan, and now an Ambassador and some good men protecting him.

The militias have very few 81MM US mortars, but plenty of 82mm Russian based mortars. Don’t complicate the issue. It goes right to the top and we are being lied to.

  7. RJ

Ok…just a few more days and then, after the true believers do everything in his/her powers to “steal/cheat” this election for Obama-Mao we’ll be left with a reality: Who won and what’s next.

Here’s been my humor on B. Hussein Obama since he said the words (Oath of office) four years past:

We got a half black guy, Ivy leagued educated, pimp daddy declamation pro who can’t do squat right but does have the game plan for destruction via his 60′s communist manifesto playbook.

Recall there were two types of slaves brought to America: 1) Outright slaves in the classical sense, captured, detained, then sold and shipped to a new home (the dark skinned majority) and then we come to 2) “bond slaves” also known as “indentured servants” who sold themselves for the opportunity to sail to America where they would then “work off” the deal struck with others.

Obama-Mao’s game is to make “whitey” the new “bond slaves” via his “health care” game plus move more citizens to be dependent on centralized government for survival. “Living Constitution” is cover for stripping away the individual’s rights (fast and furious is just the start, placing females with a grudge against males on the Supreme Court a good second, adding a sexualized focus to our military a nice third front of attack (metrosexual energies at play)…you get my drift).

This spring, I buried a friend of 37 years in Texas. One of his last statements concerning an attempt to seduce a local woman into his dying arms was a statement he provided: “I’ll fill her head full of sh*t!” Great humor…but with a reality reflecting his game plan.

Three days ago I had lunch with a former girl friend (who voted for Obama in 2008) and decided to ask her to tell me why and how she voted (early) this time. Again she voted for the devil and said it was all due to his words and then went to slam his opponent via what she had heard “on the radio” (she’s a Van Morrison fan) Koch brothers giving millions to Romney.

Turned my stomach on just how stupid and so easily conned she has been and wishes to stay. My youngest son asked me if she had learned anything while being my girlfriend as he noted my distaste for her blindness.

I warned him that there just may be enough people like her who might put Obama back in power for another four years! Go to any horse race and listen for the reasons others choose to bet on a horse.

Contrast this behavior with the words and attitude of dead SEAL Wood’s father on Obama-Mao.

Sometimes one has to lose everything to learn what he/she once had…guilt used as a weapon can be very, very powerful and mesmerizing for a long, long time.

Then again…Mommy will come, Mommy will come…carrying what in her right hand?

I prefer living, stay healthy amigo!

  8. Karkulka

Now, I may be completely wrong but, from my observations (my family traveled on diplomatic passports,) I know that subjects and actions that may come back and bite you are not discussed and organized at embassies the caliber of the Court of St. James. That kind of agenda is reserved for much less conspicuous consulates located in the third world counties. The moment I heard ” dinner w/ Turkish ambassador” my antennae went up. What would those two talk about? What would be of interest to us and him in a country that just went through a forced change of power and was in a possession of large amount of arms? Turkey, their proximity to Syria, and our poorly veiled ambitions in that country came immediately to mind. You can see where I am going with this. If I had to put my money on any yarn, it would be that we are running arms to Syria through Turkey. Since that constitutes an impeachable offense, it is in the interest of the involved not to have any mouth talking. Hence, when visibly all things went south, and they knew there will be many questions raised, they let as many people as possible die. The two General Officers, who were ready to disobey orders and interfere, had to be removed. Eventually we will find the whole truth. Secrets work only if you are alone in the know. Here are too many involved, too many paper trails, and too many good pensions on the line.

    • Rj

As a country, Americans are not against helping others to fight our enemies or liberate those who seek individual freedoms, etc., whether that is in direct attempts or indirect. We also will accept our national leaders to be deceptive, to misdirect and even lie to other nations, etc. in our national self interests.

However, when our national leaders turn to us– American citizens, and lie boldly to our faces…time and time again…I don’t think we will accept such behaviors.

Obama and his team operate as “passive aggressive” totalitarians: They know what’s best for us and they intend to provide it! We must learn to accept being ruled by such great minds. The ends justify the means. A 2700 plus page bill on healtcare, passed by those who never read the entire bill, which will effect a major part of our economy’s primary structure, crafted by those trained in law schools, tells you what?

How many pages for our Constitution?

Libya is a game Obama intended to play. Syria is also on his radar. Note that with Iran he remains distant and Ingaberg only after others prod him so and then only in minimal ways. Realize what he did in Egypt. How’s Jordan doing these days? Turkey is an Islamic government…do you see a pattern here? Israel has been isolated, given just token energies by his administration. Guess what his game plan will be for that country if he steals a second term!

Those who died in Bengazi, for whatever games they might have been playing, were indeed formally attacked, with our national leaders more than aware of the situation. Obama has demonstrated previously his dire need to “lead from behind,” to throw others under a bus, and to deny any and all responsibility for games he has been playing. Fast and furious, just one example.

Read your Tacitus. Obama is not working for America’s interests. He is working for his world view which he refuses to share with American citizens. Yet it is we who pay with our treasure and blood. Dictators always seem to behave this way. His media pals are his “Praetorian Guard” in more ways than one imagines.

Think Barbara Streisand really has a handle on Obama’s game plan?

Look to Princeton Patreaus to have a moment of deciding what it is to be an American patriot…

He can blow the top off this evil secret…if he really has the ;conscience and balls for it!

Good afternoon, from Hidden Hills, California I want to tell you, I like this blog post. However, it is funny how I ended up on your blog. I searched for limousines st. louis on YouTube and ended up on your website. I must say I do like your site and will check back soon. But I need to find the limo I was originally looking for first. Have a lovely day! Goodbye.

Now 6 months later and now we have a much better idea of the time line. We know that NO/ZERO whistle blowers have stepped up to the plat and told Congress anything worse than the Administration tried to portray the demonstration as being caused by the film. BUT we do know that they knew otherwise and were actively trying to hunt down and kill those responsible. Tim you know sometimes disinformation is given out, and that sometimes there are good reasons for not alerting our enemies to the extent of our knowledge. You also have to have some inkling that Obama makes his decisions based upon what others tell him.
